Official Avatar trailer now online!

So, at long last, the full, official trailer is now on the interwebs.

Turns out that today’s release of the international promo was basically the same thing, but now you can see it in full, glorious HD minus the subtitles.

And yes, it’s like James Cameron downloading himself into your eyes - complete with tech-heavy moments and all the CG-powered visuals you could want.

The actual film will arrive on 18 December…

Take a look below, and let us know your thoughts.

Plus, it’ll show you where the country stands as to which Twilight character people like.

What’s next, you ask? Probably someone supporting either character on Question Time…

Free horror movie premiere this Friday

Halloween’ll soon be upon us. If you don’t fancy wading through gore-masked hordes and forking out a tenner to watch Saw VI in a theatre of braying teens, we have an alternative.

Go to www.indiemoviesonline.com where you can see the premiere of brand new shock-mock-doc The Devil’s Music by Brit director Pat Higgins. It’s free and it’s legal!

The Devil’s Music charts the tale of controversial rocker Erica Spawn, piecing together the strange events that occur when a fan becomes obsessed. It’s a movie made up of talking heads, flashbacks, witness statements and gig footage.

Total Film, always on the pulse, caught a very early version of this movie a while back and we’re pleased to say we enjoyed it. A genre mash-up, it’s frequently very funny with a smart and unpredictable story.

Think Spinal Tap meets Fatal Attraction with a bit of Rosemary’s Baby. Or something.

The Devil’s Music premiere’s online on the 30th October, just go to www.indiemoviesonline.com where you can stream it for absolutely nada.

The website was concieved as a way of getting indie filmmaking talent into the ether, and they have 100s of other films free to download and watch in the UK, including Lars Von Trier’s The Boss Of It, Peter Greenaway’s Rembrandt’s J’Accuse and Jake West’s Evil Aliens - though line-ups are different in the USA, Canada and Australia because of rights issues.

Stay home. Watch movies. Don’t pay a penny and don’t break the law - Happy Halloween!

New Shutter Island trailer arrives

Fresh on the internet this afternoon is the third trailer for Scorcese’s Shutter Island – and although it’s a little shorter, it certainly packs the punch of the previous offerings.

The film follows U.S. Marshals Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo) who are drafted in to Shutter Island - home of Ashecliffe Hospital for the Criminally Insane - to find an escaped patient in the Summer of 1954.

In this latest teaser we’re treated to some new shots of Leo as he embarks on his investigation to find the missing inmate, and ends with another inmate delivering a chilling message…

While this trailer contains many scenes featured in previous promos, it does give us some hints as to the goings on in the asylum, again alluding to a dark secret which only the staff know about…

Shutter Island comes out in February 2010 and this latest trailer has certainly whet our appetites.

Excited for Shutter Island? Or is this leaving you criminally insane? Let us know in the comments.
